Happy to announce that I've been asked to compose music and sound design for The Lost Traveler in the Multiverse, a dream play written by Bill Cook and Directed by Joe Bishara. The show opens in a few weeks, so I've got to get cracking. More on the way soon!
This is a collection of the 3 original tracks I composed for CATCO's production of David Mamet's Revenge of the Space Pandas. Think Tron Legacy meets Goonies. The tracks as they appear are Spinning Off the Earth, Escape from Topax, and No Time Lost.
Enjoy!
I'm happy to say that all music is done and ready for CATCO's production of David Mamet's Revenge of the Space Pandas opening tomorrow night in Columbus, OH. The show runs from Aug. 29 - 31 at the Columbus Performing Arts Center - Shedd Theater.
Finished up the score for a short film, The Exchange, premiering tonight at Gateway Film Center in Columbus, Ohio. I'll share the film as soon as it's posted online, but for now you'll have to see it in theaters!
Recorded bass lines for the new EP last weekend with my good friend, Bobby Wildemuth. Seven tracks in one day...piece of cake! Switching gears now back to guitar and planning a session to record sometime in the next few months. Still a little ways to go, but it's starting to come together.
Spent two days recording drums for the new album with Andrew Eckerman and Chad Loughrige at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Got some great sounds...easy to do when you have 14 mics around the drum kit. Lots more to go, but at least one piece of the puzzle is complete. Next up, recording Bass with Bobby Wildermuth in April.
In March I'm hitting the studio again with long-time friend Andrew Eckerman to lay down drums for a new seven song EP. Chad Loughrige will be at the board for this session. After that it's back to the home studio to lay down bass, guitars, vocals, and accompaniment. Can't wait to introduce some new tunes...been too long!

Can't go into the details just yet, but over the next 3 months I'll be composing original music for two theater productions as well as several advertising pieces. Stay tuned!
I've recently been asked to compose several pieces for various television ads. This first one is called "The Ribbon" and is currently being featured in a regional television ad for Mercy Health Hospital System. The ads will be running over the next several months in Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois. Very excited for the opportunity to push my creative limits and get my music out there.
If you're interested in hearing what I've been up to, here are some pieces from my original score to "The Promised Land"...
"Russell Boiarsky makes a wonderful theatrical debut as a composer and sound designer, keeping the transitions dream-like, yet sad, reminding the audience of the underlying issue of Simon’s search."
